They promise us an exciting photo of
the band soon
A
quiet Friday night in the Brecknock usually punctuated by the rambunctious
sounds of the Gartloney Rats. The lads rock it up with songs from the Pogues,
Waterboys, DKM, and rollickin originals, the last set will always include a
few pub anthems from Van Morrison to the Angels. The Rats play a wide
variety of instruments including accordion, banjo, mandolin, mandola,
guitars, and of course the engine room of bass and drums.
If
you want to dance the night away the Rats are the band for you and as the
punters in the
Dublin declared
‘Play a slow one we need a rest!!’. The lads also have a soft side playing
such classics as Dirty Old Town, Rainy Night in Soho, and their reggae
original Guerrillas of Folk. If you like a wide variety of music including
Celtic jigs and reels, punk, East European songs and tunes then get yer
dancing clogs on and see the Gartloney Rats.
