“Come Share Our Heritage”
A three day celebration of our Anglo-Celtic
music and dance traditions. Cross Country started way back in 1999 when Reg and Heather met at a band session. We decided to try a duet and later on down the track became a couple. Cross Country have had the pleasure of playing with many a fine artist. The biggest kick was when Craig Giles rang Reg and asked if he could re-record a song he had written. He made a wonderful job at it went to the top 5 in the contemporary section at Tamworth Country Music festival this year 2008.
Reg plays guitar and dobro, Heather plays keyboard 6 & 12 string guitars and does the percussion section in the duet. On occasion they are joined by their great friend Peter scrubber Briggs from the Creole Cowboyz who adds a bit of high jinks to a night .He play wash board. Didgeridoo and a few bells and whistles thrown in for good measure. A great musician who really gets the crowd going. Cross Country are due to leave the State to relocate eventually after a tour of the states in their 12 metre bus Rosie. ![]() |
